Corcovado National Park is located on the souther pacific coast of Costa Rica, speciffically in the Osa Peninsula of the Puntarenas province.

It has an area of 54,538 hectares of inland and 2'400 hectares on the beach.

In no other wild life area of the country are the plants and animal protected as they are in this park. One can say that it’s a living laboratory to study the structures and functioning of tropical eco systems, doing investigations and scientific studies.

Of the Pacific coast of America, this park is one of the last in maintaining its rain forest un altered, getting more than 5,000 mm of rain annually.
One can find the 1/4 of the arboreal species of Costa Rica in this park ( some 500 species of trees). Achieving a great number of habitats such as:

Herb fields

All of this you will be able to enjoy on the 54,539 hectacres of land that make up the park. At Hotel Oleaje Sereno we offer you this tour to Corcovado National Park, so that you can enjoy to the maximum the great variety of plant and animal habitats that make up our region.

The tour leaves the hotel at 7 am and the trip takes about 1 ½ hours. When we get to the park the first thing we do is walk the trails for 2 hours, enjoying looking at the great variety of plants and animals. Then we return to the station to eat lunch, after which we take one more walk for 1 hour, then we return to the hotel. For this tour its recommended to wear long pants and boots.
