Tour to the Cano Island

Did you know that Cano Island in Costa Rica is one of the best places for scuba diving in Latin America? Well it is, and it's protected by the laws of Costa Rica as a Biological Reserve, which means its plants and animals are protected.

Cano Island has its own history, which is vaguely told by the native people whom are still living there. It is possible to find an old flower pot or the remains of old containers that were made out of clay, as well as some singular formations that are thought to have been inhabited by natives, and even some that are supposed to be for funerals.

But in whatever case, the greatest treasure of Cano Island is the Bio Diversified Marina. Its waters are ideal for scuba diving and snorkeling, as the waters are clear, calm and warm, and to maximize it you will get to see a large number of fish and other water life that are abundant in this protected zone.

On the Cano Island tour you will see fish, birds, and corral reefs. We get off on the Island and have a chance to walk its beautiful trails. The tour will be lead by a professional guide who will explain all of the highlights of the trip to you in your own language. This will be an unforgettable experience, enjoying the nature and ocean of beautiful Cano Island in Costa Rica.

The whole trip takes place on a boat with full security measures being taken. Generally this tour begins at about 7:30 am, and the trip takes about 1 ½ hours, around the Island you can snorkel, where you'll see large amounts of various fish. If you don't have your own snorkeling equipment, we can rent it to you.
